【相場要因】
米国農務省より発表された米綿の作付面積報告の結果を受けて綿花相場は下落した。
市場では、綿作地に対して過剰な降雨が記録されたことを背景に、2025年3月の作付意識調査から下方修正が行われるだろうとされていたものの、事前の予想とは反し上方修正がなされた。特にテキサス州においては、3月の作付面積報告から約20万エーカーの増加が見られ、今回の上方修正の中核を成しており、市場予想との乖離が最も大きかった点として注目が集まっている。詳細後述。
米国7月11日には、需給報告の発表が控えており、今後の展開に注目が集まっている。
