NY定期12月限は、寄付きから動意薄で推移し、米国での取引が本格化してから値を上げ、本日の高値を付けた後、値を戻し、最終的に前日比8ポイント高の78.87/LBで引けた。出来高は、30,400枚。
市場参加者の多くは、現地11月6日に行われる米国の中間選挙の結果と11月8日の米国農務省月間需給報告を待っているようで、比較的様子見ムードな相場付きとなった様子。
11月8日の米国農務省月間需給報告では、先日のハリケーンの影響などから米棉生産量の減少が予想されているが、市場がどこまで織り込んでいるかはアナリストによってさまざまな予想がされており、発表後の相場動向に注目が集まっている。
また、現地11月7日からは大手投機筋によるポジション限月乗換が行われる予定。
