NY定期12月限は、寄り付きから方向感なく推移したが、その後徐々に値を上げ、最終的に前日比131ポイント高の63.53/LBで引けた。出来高は、39,600枚。
米中通商協議で、中国が一定量の米国農産物を買い付けることで「部分合意」となったことから、相場は短期的にやや強気基調で推移している様子も見受けられる。
一方で、一部の報告などでは、中国による農産物買付が書面上で合意されておらず、また、両国の関税に関する条件に対して何も決定がなされていないことが懸念材料として挙げられている。また、中国が買い付けを行う品目については、公式な発表がされていないものの、一部のニュースページなどでは、棉花も品目に入る可能性があることが述べられている。
本日中国国内相場ZCEは小幅な増減で引けている。米国主要穀物相場は軒並み値を下げて引けている一方で、米国株式は値を上げて引けている。
本日米国農務省より週間作況報告が発表された。詳細は後述。報告によると、現地10月13日時点の15州平均の作況を見ると、Good/Excellentの割合が前週比で1ポイント減少し、Poor/Very Poorの割合が2ポイント増加している。また、Fairの割合は、前週比で1ポイント減少している。
