NY定期12月限は、前日に引き続き寄り付きから小幅な値動きで推移した。最終的に前日比31ポイント高の62.59/LBで引けた。出来高は、30,600枚。
サウジアラビアで14日、石油施設が攻撃されたことにより、原油価格は一時20%近く上昇するも、他相場への影響は限定的であった模様。
棉花相場は、投機筋によるショートポジションの解消や新規ロングポジションの形成は一旦落ち着いた様子で、本日の未決済建玉も前日までのように増加せず、やや減少して引けた。
紡績筋は一部で値決めの動きも確認されているようだが、全体的に様子見ムードとなった模様。
本日米国農務省より週間作況報告が発表された。現地9月15日時点で、15州全体で、Good/Excellentに相当する割合が前週比で2ポイント減となっている。一方で、Poor/Very Poorの割合も前週比1ポイント減となっており、また、Fairに相当する割合が前週比3ポイント増となっている。詳細は後述。
米国現地9月19日には米国農務省週間輸出成約報告が発表される予定。
